For an installation of Xpert.ivy 4+ on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008, please take care about the following issues:
- The new Windows versions do have more restrictive access right on the file system. Especially the access to drive
c:
is minimal. You must give the appropriate rights explicitly or use another drive to install Ivy.
- The server administration tool must be started with the administrator user. Use the popup menu and select Run as Administrator. Otherwise you cannot register the Ivy server as a Windows Service.
- For the IIS integration an additional step is necessary. After the configuration of the virtual directory and of the ISAPI redirector you must add
allowed
for the ivy ISAPI redirector on the IIS settings ISAPI and CGI Restrictions
.
- To use Single Sign-on with IIS you must install the
Windows Authentification Module
and then enable Windows authentification
and disable Anonymous access
on the virtual directory.
