For an installation of Xpert.ivy 4+ on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008, please take care about the following issues:

  • The new Windows versions do have more restrictive access right on the file system. Especially the access to drive c: is minimal. You must give the appropriate rights explicitly or use another drive to install Ivy.
  • The ServerControlCenter.exe and XpertIvyServerConfig.exe Tool must be started with the administrator user. Use the popup menu and select Run as Administrator. Otherwise you cannot register the Ivy server as a Windows Service.
  • To use Single Sign-on with IIS you must install the Windows Authentification Module and then enable Windows authentification and disable Anonymous access on the virtual directory.
