Single Sign On with IE11 and IIS does not work?

If both anonymous authentication and Windows authentication is activated on IIS it seems that IE 11 then does not authenticate using NTLM (Windows authentication). IE 11 seems to behave different than older versions of Internet Explorer.

The problem can be solved by deactivating anonymous authentication on the IIS.
