Hi Community I'm running a 7.0 LTS Engine and heard that no security updates will shipped by oracle for the java runtime enviroment that is required to run the Admin UI of the Engine. To keep my installation secure with the latest patches, I want to install an alternative JRE based on OpenJdk plus the IcedTea plugin to run Java Webstart apps: https://answers.axonivy.com/questions/3598/java-8-is-out-of-support-what-can-i-do-to-still-use-my-ria-clients-in-the-axon-ivy-engine Now, how do I properly setup the suggested AdoptOpenJdk+IcedTea bundle on my Windows Server in order to run the AdminUI without any oracle dependencies? |

1) Install AdoptOpenJDK-JRE Download: https://adoptopenjdk.net/releases.html#x64_win You only need the JRE Installer (MSI)
2) Download & Install IcedTea (MSI) Download: https://adoptopenjdk.net/icedtea-web.html Details: https://adoptopenjdk.net/migration.html#icedtea-web
3) Verify your setup Go to the Engine info page (e.g. http://localhost:8080/ivy). Click on the 'Admin' tab. Now the IcedTea splash screen should boot up. Several security warning dialogs must be approved in order to continue. You are done.

In the the Task manager you should see as well that a 'javaws' binary is running which lives in the IcedTea install directory.
