How to quick search for some text in a mod file?

Hello IvyTeam,

We need often to search for some code snippet in some big Ivy Process files (.mod). We can do it in the text editor but it is not very handy to change anything there. The best would be to search with CTRL+F for some text. Then the designer should highlight the Steps where this text has been found. This would be a great help for our productivity.

Do you plan to do such an improvement?

Hey Emmanuel

We have this feature since ~4 years in the Designer. Just press CTRL+H (standard keybinding for eclipse search) and within the Axon.ivy Search Tab enter your snippet.

Then search results will be shown in the search-result view (usually in the south area). You will see highlighted text where your search has matched patterns of a process. With a double click on it the element will be selected in the process... very handy. alt text

Hi Reguel, Thanks a lot :D It seems this feature has been completely forgotten among a lot of developers.... We have shared this question with a lot of other developers and nobody seems to know this feature.

yes this really shows the Ivy script. We just need to open all the drop downs to navigate to the ivy script. I kept clicking on the HTML Logic Symbol, that was only opening the process window. But I usually use bash terminal for search. In Ivy we are privileged to use a GUI editor :D.

You don't need to toil trough all the drop downs. Just click the expand all button for a faster overview...
