How to install an alternative OpenJDK Java runtime to use the RIA based AdminUI

Hi Community

I'm running a 7.0 LTS Engine and heard that no security updates will shipped by oracle for the java runtime enviroment that is required to run the Admin UI of the Engine.

To keep my installation secure with the latest patches, I want to install an alternative JRE based on OpenJdk plus the IcedTea plugin to run Java Webstart apps: https://answers.axonivy.com/questions/3598/java-8-is-out-of-support-what-can-i-do-to-still-use-my-ria-clients-in-the-axon-ivy-engine

Now, how do I properly setup the suggested AdoptOpenJdk+IcedTea bundle on my Windows Server in order to run the AdminUI without any oracle dependencies?

Hi!

Ich habe Problem mit Ivy RIA Application. Ivy Designer Version 5.1.13, Java JRE im Rechner ist 1.7.0_45 b18. Wenn ich im Designer RIA Applikation starten will, kommt ein Fehler (nach jnlp Hewrunterladung und Verifizierung): com.sun.deploy.net.JARSigningException: Unsignierter Eintrag gefunden in Ressource: batik-awt-util-5.1.5.161938.jar

Wenn ich das gleiche mit Designer 5.1.4 probiere, Applikation startet problemlos. Koennen Sie hlefen?

RLookupTextFields or RTextFields freezes UI of an RIA/ULC application with Java 1.8.161/162

When running an RIA/ULC application with Java 1.8.161 or 1.8.162 the UI freezes when working with RLookupTextFields or RTextFields.

Java Web Start applications don't work anymore in IE after Windows 10 Creator update

After the installation of Windows 10 Creator update, Java Web Start applications like the AdminUI don't start anymore if I try to launch them out of the Internet Explorer. In other browsers everything works fine.

My (older) ivy says it's certificate is expired when starting a RIA application

My ivy 4.3.20 says it's certificate is expired when starting a RIA application. And I cannot start it without adding an exception.

Since the latest Java 8 update 40 release I can't edit textfields anymore in a Web Start/RIA/ULC application.
