"Failed to create the Java virtual machine" when trying to start the Axon.ivy Designer

When trying to start the new Axon.ivy 5.1 Designer, the following error message appears:

Previous versions of the designer has always started correctly. What is the problem here?

In 5.1 the maximum size of the memory allocation pool for the designer was raised from 1024MB to 1536MB. This can cause the mentioned error on some systems.

You can change the value in the Axon.ivy Designer.ini file on the line -Xmx1536m. Just replace it with your desired one, e.g. -Xmx1024m. After that you should be able to start the Designer as expected.
