I want to enlarge my horizon and plan to migrate my workspace environment from Windows to a Linux host. I'm still playing around with multiple Linux distributions to find the one that serves me best. After many year with Windows I already see that linux is the perfect platform for development. There are so many handy development tools and it feels as I can do much more, faster and effective in less time than on my Windows. BUT: I'm mainly developing with Axon.ivy. And it seem like only the engine is available as linux package. Will you ever ship a Designer bundle that works under linux? asked 17.08.2017 at 04:34 SupportIvyTeam ♦♦ |
Proudly we just packed a linux designer with the new 6.7.0 release. Some of our core developers already used this package on a daily basis so we feel comfortable that it is stable enough to be used by any customer. We appreciate any feedback on it. Personally I switched to Linux Mint a year ago. And I agree, developers live is so much easier and more effective than before. My workstation is now liberated ... and fast :-) answered 17.08.2017 at 04:35 Reguel Werme... ♦♦ @Genzer Hawker theoretically we build a mac designer in our nightly builds. But even tough we already spent a lot of work on it its still a very unstable buggy artifact. So we can not share it because of a big quality lack. Currently we also do not have a paying stakeholder that wants to change this situation

Would be great, when it comes also to Ivy 6.0 long term in a later release ;-)
